A Word about God’s Love

In the book Understanding Christian Theology, J. Carl Laney Jr. says this about God’s love for us:

“Because God’s love is based on His unchanging nature rather than our personal behavior, He will never stop loving us. Perhaps you have heard someone say the sad words, “I don’t love you anymore.” These words would be impossible for God to speak. He told His people Israel, “I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3). This is equally true of His relationship with the body of Christ, His church (Ephesians 5:25). His love is so vast and inexhaustible that, as F.B. Meyer once wrote, ‘The love of God toward you is like the Amazon River flowing down to water a single daisy.’”

So wait…is that like the fourth post in three days from the Wayfarer? I…I…don’t know how to respond except to say, “YOU ARE THE MAN!”

One of two things… either you have time to blog because your schedule is slowing down, or you are blogging to encourage others with what the Lord has been teaching you… either way, encouraging.

What was that about “refreshing the hearts of the saints” that I heard someone talking about the other day?…

The book then isn’t just really long and burdensome but actually applicable and extremely insightful. Thanks for sharing bro.
