What should I write on?

Well, hello, blogosphere! It has been too long since I last posted any writ, and I certainly want to pick up a regular flow again. For a boost into the school year, I was wondering if some of you could give me a suggestion on what I should write my paper on for my Theology of God class (yes, I know it sounds a bit redundant). Here are the nine possibilities:

  1. How do God’s sovereignty and man’s free will get along? Or do they?
  2. Are the arguments for the existence of God valid? Why or why not?
  3. What is Open Theism? Is it biblical?
  4. What is Process Theology? Is it biblical?
  5. Does God have emotions?
  6. What does it mean that God is 3 in 1?
  7. If God is love, why is there so much evil in the world?
  8. Does God send people to hell?
  9. If God is all sovereign, why does He say to request of Him and He will answer?

Which of these interest you or which ones do you wish you knew more about? I feel like I’m so ignorant on all of them, but alas, I must choose one. Any suggestions would be great.

Keys & Depravity

keys

Stick your hand in your pockets and jingle your keys. Those keys may open small locks, but they also stand in direct opposition to the idea that man is basically good.

If I did not believe in the depravity of man, then I would not put any locks on the doors. I wouldn’t carry any keys in my pockets and I wouldn’t expect anyone to steal my things. If people are good on their own, then they wouldn’t do anything against me. It seems to make sense to me that if men aren’t depraved then I shouldn’t protect things against other people.

I do find it intersting that the very people who believe that men are basically good, still expect other people to take, destroy, and vandalize their possessions if they don’t put a lock on their doors. I see an inconsistency with that, but I’m sure they have a plethora of excuses.
