fruit snacks

I just had my first fruit snack in many years and it immediately took me back to first grade recess. Wow, I used to love those things. But the best ones were the Gushers that exploded with juciness. The worst fruit snacks by far were the fruit leather that was peeled off plastic and ended up being a condensed ball of fruit goo in your mouth.

But I realized that fruit snacks do not really taste like fruit at all, but more resembles candy. That may be why I liked them so much.

Some of us only GOT fruit leather back in the day – so you can keep all your fruit snack negativity to yourself… jerk.

The fruit snack for grown-ups is Swedish Fish. And similar to non-fruity fruit snacks, they don’t taste like fish or like Swedish at all!

1st grade was a long time ago…what a memory! Fruit leathers are actually really good and do not ball up in your mouth…fruit roll-ups do, however! Two very different things! ;)
