Would the implication be that until we are usable we can’t be used? It would be of little value to be only usable, without ever being used. This would be similar to “I don’t want to rust out, but to wear out”.
I guess I would like to be both usable and used by God for His glorious purpose and I know that you are striving for the same. We miss you Micah.

Chuck, good point. We definitely want to be worthy tools in the Master’s hand.
