Here are some ideas on how college students can demonstrate to their family that they love them from a distance.
- Say “I love you” to your family members whenever you talk to them
- Pray for your family
- Send cards and gifts on their birthdays
- Enjoy going home to see them
- Include both parents in important decisions in your life

expanding on #3, I’m seeing the value in picking out more meaningful gifts than I used to. it tells the family member that they’re worth the extra time i spent picking out a personal gift, and it lasts if it’s a good book or cd
